Problems with chewing

Make sure your puppy or dog has ready access to chews, bones and toys specifically designed for chewing. The Kong is a good object to use and can be stuffed with food to also alleviate boredom. Feel free to navigate to www.companyofanimals.co.uk for information about the Kong, how to purchase it, and valuable recipies that can be used as a filler.

Also ensure your puppy or dog is not left alone for long periods as chewing can be caused by boredom or stress at being left.

Always find time to fully exercise your puppy or dog and remember to combine this with daily training to tire him or her both mentally as well as physically.

A good behaviourst will make sure that they spend time finding out what is causing the chewing rather than just providing items to chew on.

If anything is affecting your enjoyment of your dog, or your dogs enjoyment of life don't put up with it - contact Pets In Practise.
