"Our Rally-O classes"
Looking for something new and exciting to teach your dog?
Then the Pets in Practise Rally-O classes are just what you are looking for.
Rally-O is a new dog sport from America. Dog and handler teams navigate a course whilst performing different exercises such as ‘sit’, ‘send over jump’ and ‘left turn’. Handlers are encouraged to talk to and praise their dogs whilst navigating the course.
These classes are suitable for dogs of any age provided they have already undertaken some basic obedience training (a good level of loose lead walking and a grasp of basic commands such as sit and down is recommended before starting a Rally-O course).
Rally-O courses vary in their difficulty from Level One to Level Three.
The Rally-O training courses runs for 6 weeks and are available in our Burghfield Common and Woodley hall locations.
"Our Agility classes"
Looking for fun, non-competitive agility classes?
Then the Pets in Practise Agility classes are just what you are looking for.
The “Nearly Agility” class will be for dogs between 6 – 12 months of age. In this class we will teach as much of the agility equipment as is appropriate for dogs under the age of 12 months. In case you are wondering what is magic about the 12 months mark. It is that vets do not recommend encouraging dogs younger than 12 months of age to jump as their joints are still forming at this time and this activity may cause injury. Therefore these classes are adapted to accommodate this.
The “Let’s Begin Agility”, “Now I’ve got the hang of it Agility” classes are suitable for any dog over the age of 12 months.
Above courses are 8 weeks in length and an hour each week.
Contact us for more details of where these classes are held.
